Keadilan Akan Berpegang Teguh Dengan Prinsip Pertanggungjawaban Dan Ketelusan

Parti Keadilan Rakyat telah membincangkan isu pinjaman yang dibuat oleh Kerajaan Negeri Selangor untuk mengambil alih hutang Talam Corp Bhd kepada anak syarikat PKNS yang berjumlah RM 391 juta. Isu tersebut telah dibangkitkan oleh Setiausaha Agung Parti, Dato Salehuddin Hashim melalui edaran email.

Keadilan sememangnya menghormati pandangan yang dibangkitkan oleh pimpinan yang menyentuh dasar mana-mana negeri, termasuklah negeri-negeri yang ditadbir oleh Pakatan Rakyat(PAKATAN). Ini membuktikan iltizam kami untuk terus berpegang serta melaksanakan prinsip prinsip asas demokrasi dan tadbir urus yang baik.

Email Setiausaha Agung hanya untuk edaran dalaman sahaja dan ianya merupakan pandangan peribadi bertujuan mendapat penjelasan dari YAB Dato’ Menteri Besar Selangor berhubung isu tersebut. Perlu ditegaskan di sini Setiausaha Agung PKR tidak menuduh wujudnya penyelewengan oleh YAB Menteri Besar dan Kerajaan Negeri Selangor.

Kami berpuas hati dengan penjelasan awal oleh YAB Menteri Besar berkenaan perkara dasar yang menyangkut transasksi tersebut. Tuntas dengan prinsip ketelusan dan pertanggungjawaban, malah Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim memberi jaminan bahawa transaksi tersebut terbuka untuk penelitian awam.

KEADILAN Reaffirms Principles of Transparency and Accountability

Parti Keadilan Rakyat (KEADILAN) has discussed the issue of the loan taken by the Selangor State government to buyover Talam Corp Bhd’s RM391mil debt owed to subsidiaries of Selangor Development Corporation (PKNS), which was raised by the Secretary-General of the Party (Sec-Gen) through an email.

At the outset, the Biropol respects and defends the right of any Party leader to raise and question policy matters of any state government, including states that are ruled by a Pakatan Rakyat (PAKATAN) coalition government. The rigorous exercise of this right affirms fundamental principles of democracy and encourages the practice of good governance.

The email of the Sec-Gen was meant to be for internal circulation only and was his personal views that were not intended to be made public until clarification is given by the Menteri Besar of Selangor. The Sec-Gen neither alleges fraud nor impropriety on the part of the Menteri Besar or the State Government of Selangor.

We are satisfied with the YAB Menteri Besar’s initial explanation on the core issues involved in the transaction. Consistent with the principles of transparency and accountability, Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim assured that the transaction would remain open to public scrutiny.
